Marc Acchitelli
Play-by-Play Broadcaster | Color Analyst | In-Studio Producer | Media Relations
Hello and welcome to my website!
I am a sports broadcaster specializing in play-by-play for a variety of sports including soccer, basketball, baseball, softball, football and ice hockey. I attended Rowan University, where I graduated as a double major with a bachelor of arts degree in both Radio/TV/Film and Sports Communication & Media.
As far as my professional experience, I have worked with the Wilmington Blue Rocks (Class-A Advanced affiliate of the Kansas City Royals) in two different capacities. My first experience with the Blue Rocks came as the in-studio producer and board operator for the 2018 season, where I was responsible for engineering the games from the 89.7 WGLS-FM studios, as well as serving as the host of the "Rocks Report" pregame and postgame shows. During the 2019 season, I served as the broadcast/media relations intern for the team. In that role, I assisted with pre-game documents (game notes, rosters, and line-ups), while also providing on-air play-by-play and color commentary during all home games. I was also tasked with providing content for the team's monthly magazine and writing game recaps for a select number of games.
While attending Rowan University, I was a member of the nationally-recognized college radio station, Rowan Radio 89.7 WGLS-FM. As a member of the Rowan Radio sports department, I was a play-by-play announcer and color analyst for various Rowan Profs sports such as soccer, basketball, baseball, softball, and football. I had the privilege of calling numerous NCAA tournament games in both Men's Soccer and Men's Basketball, while also having the opportunity to travel to Oklahoma City for the 2018 NCAA Division III Softball Championship.
I worked with the Rowan Television Network (RTN) as a play-by-play announcer for ice hockey. With RTN, I was also the host of the Rowan Football Pregame Show and the Interview Host of "Profs' Spotlight", which is a Rowan sports analysis show. I was responsible for researching a variety of Rowan athletes and interviewing them on camera.
I am proficient in both the Adobe Creative Suite and Final Cut Pro, giving me experience with audio and video production. And I am a skilled writer with a vast repertoire of styles pertaining to the world of sports. I'm looking forward to the opportunities ahead of me and hope to establish relationships with new people in the industry.
I hope you enjoy the website! Thanks for visiting!
